Anything Japan can do, China can do cheaper and crappier. And that is exactly why when the local Chinese advertising agency was looking for a spokesperson for the Chintendo Vii, the cheap knockopff of the ever popular Nintendo Wii videogame system, they turned to the king of cheap: Chelvis.
When you think of cheap knockoffs, you think of Chelvis. Here is a picture of the advertisement.

Chelvis has finally reached enough awareness that the good people at Absolut Vodka have created an ad in honor of him. This ad can be seen in the upcoming issue of Impersonators Illustrated.

It was just a matter of time until someone spoofed the Budweiser Whassup commercial with the likeness of Chelvis. At first there was a rumor that this was real Upon closer scrutiny however, we noticed the large fro on his head and knew it to be a fake. Here is a short clip.

Chelvis was recently spotted in national publications such as Time and Field and Stream as part of the Got Milk? Campaign. Caption:”There’s a ton of impersonators out there, baby. And we’ll thank you very much to get the original. Milk. It come with calcium naturally. So we drink 3 glasses a day. Ice cold. ‘Cause, after all mama, where would our act be without a strong pelvis?’”

Chelvis was recently immortalized in a hilarious TV commercial for Lipton Brisk Ice Tea. This is a sample clip from that spot.
