China Recalls Chelvis Action Figures

chelvis_actionfigure.jpg
In a new twist in international relations, China has recalled all of their U.S. made Chelvis: The Chinese Elvis Action Figures saying, “they have been found to carry too little lead.”

China will recall all 300,000 action figures produced. Fortunately, out of the 300,000 produced, all but 3 are still sitting on Choys R Us (玩具是我们) shelves. The 3 purchased action figures were traced back to a Michael Schneider, a self-professed “Obsessive Chelvis fan”. Mr. Schneider has decided to hang on to these collector’s items saying in a statement, “I will take my chances with not having enough lead in my bloodstream.”

The Chelvis action figure (shown left) commemorates Chelvis role in the movie Hunan Headlock, the movie that propelled him into action hero status.

Chelvis Gets “Balls” Taken Away

With the recent release of the Ping Pong masterpiece, “Balls of Fury”, you may have noticed something missing: Chelvis! As some may recall, Chelvis was originally casted as “Feng”, the diabolical ping pong puppet master in the movie. He even went as far as shooting half the movie. Above is a picture of Chelvis as “Feng” from the set.

The problem is the producers felt the table tennis prowess of the Chinese heartthrob was causing many to view this as a “Chelvis flick” rather than a the “Senseless Comedy of the Year”. As a result, the producers had to resort to their second choice, Christopher Walken. Maybe Chelvis will make the director’s cut.

Chitty Chitty Chang Chang

Chelvis and Charlie Sheen are starring in a new movie Chitty Chitty Chang Chang. This is a cinematic alliteration of Oscar proportions. A sloppy remake of the popular 1968 movie, Chelvis stars as Caractacus Chops a widower with a penchant for things mechanical. He and his children rescue an old car from the scrap heap and create a new motor car with the ability to fly and float. Charlie Sheen co-stars as Dim Sum Bomburst who is after the magical car and wants the vehicle and its inventor kidnapped.

This marks the introduction of O’Chelvis: The Irish Chelvis: The Chinese Elvis impersonator. Chelvis and O’Chelvis join forces to stop the evil O’Malley gang; a ruthless gang who have smuggled their pots of gold into the Shanghai underground.

Hunan Headlock

Chelvis is back in this low-budget slamfest, “Hunan Headlock”. Chelvis stars as The Wok, a cocky wrestler whose catch phrase is “Can you smell what the Wok is cooking?” The Wok of course holds the wrestling title. But don’t let his amazing physique fool you. The Wok is also a smooth one with the ladies as well as a good dancer, and he could break out into song at any given time.

Confucius Say Wha?

Chelvis is back and he’s badder than ever! After his stint at the bighouse, Chelvis finds himself matching wits with Confucius himself! With the funk fresh sounds of Kool and the Gang in the background, Chelvis outwits Mr. Witty himself and saves the day and the girl.

Discovered behind the scenes footage of the shooting of Chelvis’ Yellow Hawaii were made available on the Collector’s Edition DVD. Over 3 hours of new footage was added to this new release which shows Chelvis in the younger years of his career. (Shown here with the lovely Heather Giesler who would later become his wife.)
